Hi! I started BreDesign in 2012 and it is a place where I get to do what I love, and work with great clients!
I am a Hunter Douglas Dealer and specialize in window coverings including custom drapery. I have spent the last 10 years in the Design Industry with Wen-Di Interiors, Jayman homes, Posh at Home and now my own one woman show; Bredesign. In addition to my focus on window coverings, I continue to provide interior home selection consultations as needed for custom builds, small home builder clients and showhomes.
I believe that staying small as a company is key to the quality of service and dedication I can offer my clients as well as the savings I can pass on. I look forward to meeting and working with you! Another advantage to staying small is the strong relationship I can hold with installers, manufacturers and seamstresses. One of my biggest advantages is my installer; Hunter Douglas' exclusive installer of choice in Edmonton with over 30 years of experience as a family run business. I have worked with my installer for over 9 years and seamstress for over 5 years and will not use anyone else, their quality of workmanship is unmatched.
I am extremely fortunate to be able to do what I love for my career. I love getting to know my clients and enjoy the relationships that naturally develop as we work together to bring your home alive.
Background
Upon completion of the Residential Interior's program at the University of Alberta in 2006, began my career with Wen-Di Interiors; Jayman homes design and interior division. At Wen-Di I specialized in selecting all home interiors with Jaymn clients, and received training from some of the best in the industry for Hunter Douglas window coverings and custom drapery. Multiple Jayman Masterbuild consultations a day was the norm, selecting all interior choices from flooring, cabinetry, counter tops, and paint and of course window coverings. I lost track after year 2, but I estimate that during my time with Jayman I outfitted over 200 homes with window coverings and selected interiors for over 300 homes. My 4 years with Wen-Di Interiors and Jayman kickstarted my career and developed the technical and consultation skills that benefit the clients I work for today.
I left Jayman/Wen-Di Interiors to have my first daughter and returned to work for a small Design studio called Posh At Home to run their window covering department. Here I trained new employees with Hunter Douglas products and drapery as well as worked with my own clients. I also assisted clients in custom furniture selection, space planning, color consultation and minor renovations.
After having my second daughter in 2011, I became a Hunter Douglas Dealer and started what now is known as BreDesign. Since 2011 I have established a suite of products and services for my clients focused on window coverings including Hunter Douglas, fabric suppliers and two extraordinary seamstress'.
