BreDesign comes to you in the convienince of your own home as the one stop shop for product sample viewing, measurements, consultation, ordering, payments and installation.  

Window Covering Consultations

Through the whole process with Hunter Douglas, Installers, Fabric and Hardware Suppliers, Seamstress' and Upholsterers, BreDesign is your only point of contact and will manage all aspects of your order and installation

 

In Home Consultation

 

A typical window covering consultation will take anywhere from 1-3 hours, depending on what the client needs. This consultation is complimentary to the client. BreDesign will bring all Hunter Douglas product samples to your home and walk you through 

 

Once you have contacted BreDesign and booked an appointment, BreDesign will come to your home with all Hunter Douglas samples or Fabric Samples (Drapery) for you to look at. Initially, we need to get a feel for what products you are interested in and whats important to you (appearance, insulation value, colour, textile etc...) BreDesign can guide you through the suite of products and help select a few products and colours that suit your needs and wants. BreDesign will then measure your windows within 1/8" and look for sqaureness that may effect the size of window covering that can fit properly. Through this whole process, BreDesign will educate you on the products you are interested in and the various functions and features you want and what may or may not work with your window types.  You will benefit from BreDesigns extensive experience with these products, it's our version of a Hunter Douglas 101 course !  In the case of Drapery, you will review and select fabric and hardware as well as the pleat style and operation of your Drapes.

 

Quoting

 

We encourage clients to get a second or third quote to see how competitively priced BreDesign is and the value we can bring to our clients as a small business with no overhead. Based on your selections or options from the consultation and the detailed measurements taken be BreDesign, a quote will be provided within 48 hours for the product and installation.

 

Payment and Ordering

 

Once you have reviewed quotes and select your final scenario, BreDesign will email or deliver a sales contract for your agreement and signature with all details of the products you are ordering and installing. 75% of the purchase price is due upon signing the sales agreement with the remaining 25% due after the installation is completed.  The order will be placed shortly after payment. BreDesign accepts cash or cheque as payment, avoiding the use of credit cards allows BreDesign to offer you the best possible price without credit card fees. We think cash savings are better than restricted credit card points.

 

Manufacturing and Creation

 

Hunter Douglas orders

Hunter Douglas manufactures your product in Ontario or Colorado. Hunter Douglas quality is unmatched in the industry with a lifetime warranty and undisputed reputation. Once the client signs the sales agreement and makes the initial payment, the order is placed and you can expect your product to show up within 2-3 weeks.

 

Custom Drapery and Upholstery orders

BreDesign takes care of fabric and hardware orders from our textile shops as well as managing material to and from the Seamstress. Our fabric and hardware suppliers carry wide varieties and will always have something for any style. BreDesign has been using two italian seamstresses who are extremely talented and pay attention to those intricate details you want. BreDesign will deliver the drapes to the installer ahead of the install.

 

Installation 

 

Once your product has arrived or is completed at the seamstress, BreDesign will contact you to book the installation. 

BreDesign has built strong relationships with Hunter Douglas' installer of choice in Edmonton as well as two exceptional seamstress' and upholsterers. Through BreDesign you can benefit from these skilled trades not necessarily available through other dealers due to their demand. I have worked with my installer for 10 years. I will not use anyone else, their quality of workmanship is unmatched and is critical to the high quality service I provide.

 

BreDesign will coordinate installation with you. Installers will come at a time of your choice to install your products. Blind installations are typically 2 hours for an average sized 2 story home. Shutters and Drapery take longer and can take between 3-4 hours depending on the quantity being installed.

 

Long Distance Orders or Self Supply

 

BreDesign services can service locations outside of the Edmonton Area. If within driving distance, KM charges will apply for appointments as well as installation. For more remote locations, BreDesign offers a self supply only option (no installation) where the product can be shipped free of charge direct to the clients home.

Interior/Exterior Product Selection 

Consultation

 

Aligning your vision of your new home and the actual combination of products, colours, textiles and finishes you select for your new home can be daunting and a frustrating process. BreDesign can understand your style and the vision you have and help you make decisions on product combinations that bring that vision to life. 

 

BreDesign will meet with you and/or your suppliers or builder on site to select the right pallets for you and help you and your significant other make those tough decisions and agree on what you both want. If you do not know which suppliers to use for flooring, cabinets, countertops, lighting, paint or finishing, BreDesign has relationship with our preferred suppliers in Edmonton. We also have prebuilt home selections that can be purchased from previous clients you may want to choose from if you do not want to go through that process from scratch.  BreDesign does not maintain sample sets, consultations need to be done at design centres or at individual suppliers.

 

Payment and Ordering

 

BreDesign design rates $125/hr for the first 3 hours and $95/hr for any hours after that. All orders and payments will be between the client and the builder or supplier.
